This article was written by an affiliate of American Debt Enders, and a friend. It is a thought provoking and timely article about just walking away from debt, something that many americans are doing. Here it is:
Just this morning I spoke with some one who contacted me about their Debts,.both Secured (home mortgage) and Unsecured debt (credit cards). After they had received and reviewed the services/solutions that I offer We had a lengthy conversation. More or less this person said that ultimately, facing an impossible financial situation they just might walk away from this mountain of debt.
Yes, we see the decision to walk away from debt being taken by many American families. As much as they understand (right or wrong) that they have made a moral obligation to pay their debts, it is their choice to walk away, but is it moral. But the point of this writing is a question... What are the COSTS of Walking Away from unbearable Financial and Moral DEBT?
This situation did not happen over night and I doubt it was ever your intention to end up walking away from debt or having to file for bankruptcy relief. Years ago options to better your lives were presented to you or you might have searched them out yourself. As the years have passed, we have an opportunity to look back and see what we did. What were the sacrifices you made and what are the consequences of just leaving. There were years of stress, toil and sweat. Day after day go to work so that you could make monthly payments to keep your dreams of a better tomorrow for your family.
We must also ask...were we ignorant, foolish or maybe to greedy? Maybe so, and as a result just walking away without seriously looking at the cost of ignorance, foolishness or greed is going to continue to produce negative results. That is as far as anyone can go to help a man or woman who won't learn from their mistakes.
In the last Presidential Election, Americans voted for change that they could believe in. What came before were years of ignorance, foolishness and greed! We went to the polls to elect an American who told us he would lead us away from that... So far I don't see it. There is something very corrupt going on with the global financial system. The Financial World has created a Moral Dilemma. The Banks, Wall Street and Government have become financially and morally bankrupt. Are the Financial experts ignorant, foolish and greedy? YES! When FED Chairman Greenspan was asked about economic theories and their consequences' on the US economy under his direction for many years.... He told the Congress "I was wrong.partial, No one could have imagined".... Right!
Let's continue answering the question about the cost of walking away from debt. Totaling up the amount of money and the hours it took to earn the money, the total amount of stress and heart-ships endured over the years and the loss of opportunities not taken.... the decision to walk way is not a good one. The investment you made became a large part of your life! So what is it that keeps you thinking that walking away is the right thing to do? FEAR. We have to realize that the Banks, Wall Street and the Government have DEFRAUDED us. BIG DEAL that the LAW. Contract law, common law and the Constitution are on our side. They have all the money and the power.
I have been told by people who received the solutions to both secured and unsecured debt that the solutions are just to risky! That there are no guarantees. And yet, they understand that if they went to a doctor for an operation there is a risk and no guarantee that they might even loss their life. That an attorney would also not be able to guarantee a win in court. The doctor, attorney and I could tell them about our track record of success. The doctor, attorney and I would understand if the patient/client told us that they were afraid of the risk, but we could not understand it if they said that they were just going to walk away. This makes no sense. Un-manageable debt like a lawsuit and medical illness require attention/action and fear will only paralyze us. I feel I have powerful solutions to debt relief. I am not going to tell you I have the Best.that up to you to conclude.
For too many Americans debt like illness is a matter of life and death. I exaggerate? Last week the media told us about an American so stress because of a debt to the IRS that he set fire to his home and took his life by crashing a plane into a building housing IRS. I know that there are solutions available that could have turned the tables on the IRS, but after all this is the IRS...talk about risk and fear!
Do you remember reading the First Commandment "I am the LORD your GOD, You shall have no other gods before ME. There is that natural drive/desire for FREEDOM. Freedom is the reason the 13 Colonies revolted against the Crown. More over, we recall that it was under the Constitution that the People brought the Government into being...So what is the problem. FEAR again. Let us not sugar coat this... If we don't face our fear and fight back, WALKING AWAY out of fear is going to result in mortgaging our lives and the lives of our children for years. Fighting back now will require that we learn about our natural or God given rights and that we do what ever we need to do to correct the corruption, fraud and injustice in our cities, states and federal government. Today it is you and I who are We The People who must take back Freedom, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! Walking Away....Not on your life!
If you know someone who can benefit from a structured debt relief program please forward this email to them.
